I blogged this because this is my favorite witieing

Success Criteria

  • state your opinion on the topic
  • give a couple of examples that match your opinion
  • purpose is to convince
  • short and to the point
  • start with ‘dear editor’ and finish with ‘sincerely…’
  • no waffling
  • my writing goal:Add detail to ideas

Dear Editor

All kids over 14 and over should be allowed to drive a car. All the kids that are 14 and over walk to school and if they were allowed to drive there would be less accidents because kids around. It would also mean that kids would get less tired from walking everywhere. They would just drive a car.

Yours sincerely,

My goal: Add detail to ideas
I am learning to write a speech and complain about what laptops are better than books

I am blogging this because it is my favorite speech
Laptops are better than books

Do you think that laptops are better than books. But in my speech they are. An interesting  fact about laptops more people buy laptops and not book and like every school has laptops and book but not that much. my joke  knock knock who's there Laptops Laptops who laptops are better than  books .

Argument 1 Spelling

Laptops are better than books because laptops can correct your spelling when books can’t. If you had bad spelling no one will understand your words. If you do not have a laptop you will probably have all your spelling wrong. If you do not have a laptop you will not know how to spell any thing. Computers can correct your spelling and help you spell your words. If your words are not correct there will be a red line under your spelling and you have to double click on your word and it will say ‘do you mean this word’ and if it is the word you were looking for you click on it and then you know what the word is. Therefore computers are better than books because it can help you spell.

Argument 2 Research

Laptops are better than books because on books you can not find really cool facts you can only do it on laptops. Laptops are better than books because if  you tried to research on your book you could  research but you need a whole lot of books to find out information. Laptops are better than books because research on laptops can make your life easier because if you got stuck on a math equation you just need to research it on your laptops. Laptops are better than books because research on a computer is easy to do if you tried to research on a book it will be really hard to find information.

Argument 3 Pictures

Laptops are better than books because you can find more detail  just by looking at one picture. You can only find pictures on laptops you will never find a picture on your book. Pictures can give an so it you needed to write a story you just needed to have a look at a pictures  and you have will have a idea. Pictures can help you to  understand more about what you are reading or researching. Only a fool would think that books are WAY better than laptops.
conclusion : I have proven to you that laptops are better than books. only a fool will think that books are better than laptops after you read that. Now you know that laptops are better than books. Hope you enjoyed my speech. THE END!!!
